What does it take to get people interested in things that don’t really concern them?

I don’t have a cat now but when I was a kid, “Whiskey”, the family’s black and white feline companion was the life of the party! His daily outings into the Great Beyond were doubled with a sense of admiration and we (sometimes) acknowledged the dead birds and mice by patting him on the back and stroking his head.

Since the last post (“Cats Kill”), I’ve looked around for more cat disappearances and was not disappointed; they are indeed happening all over. People are turning to the Police for help and the Police then turn to the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; as always lacking in evidence and trails to follow. Cats are the first domestic animals to be taken (and not returned) by unrecognized predators.

The disappearances of cats is major news and a world forum should see the light of day to deal with the problem (but will it?). It remains a problem as while animals in general are being abducted, mutilated and killed, the general public stays in “not-my-problem” mode and leaves everything to “the professionals” (who are no more professional than you or me in these cases, not having captured any perpetrator in any country). Spread the word to cat lovers everywhere.

I’ve made another list of recent 2016 “crimes” involving missing cats; the most noted for me was a circus cat in Germany that disappeared. It was part of a trapeze act (and therefore “a professional” in its own right!). Could this and those taken from the University of Panama (see links below)  be seen as the intelligentsia of the cat species?!  Are we dealing with aliens? Are we dealing with aliens looking like cats?  Are we dealing with aliens looking like cats seeking communication? What are we dealing with?  Taking a few cats at a time does not arouse suspicions. Smart predator (aliens?!)

According to law, especially in New Zealand, cats cannot be stolen and therefore cannot be part of a police investigation:

In the town of Timaru, south of Christchurch, over 50 cats have disappreared since the beginning of 2016. The pet owners are as perplexed as their European counterparts.

(The other day, a large earthquake hit the town of Christchurch; it was shallow and caused a great deal of structural damage. Was it a natural earthquake? Was it generated from below or … from above?!). If there’s a link between flying saucers and earthquakes, we could fine them for dangerous driving?!

A small community in Austria lost 52 cats in two years.

[alpine anomalous] : this I see as a mutilation done by aliens, however the police say that the cat was shot by bullet as wounds show a trajectory from the face to the shoulder. No mention of them finding said bullet.
